ULTRA BLACK

A famous French painter, Pierre Soulages, developed the concept of “Outrenoir” (Ultra Black) for some of its paintings.  These are usually large canvas, where only black is used.  Soulages experimented with a technique mixing texture, relief, movements and pigments, so that light would actually give the black color a new dimension.

Inspired by the idea, I’ve tried to push the saturation of some black and white photos, to give them a more pure emotion.
